Rules and Mechanics

Our roleplay concept is a lot about FEAR ROLEPLAY and HARDCORE ROLEPLAY applied to the possibilities of everyday life events. There is NO CORRECT WAY to roleplay. Roleplay is mainly described as playing a certain role in your own point of view. For instance, let's say you are roleplaying as a  Bandit, now think of what Bandits do in real life whether you base it off a movie or a real life incident that you might have experienced, and apply that experience in the game and voila! you are now roleplaying as a Bandit! Okay, so now that you understand the basics of roleplay, now comes the slightly more complicated to comprehensive stuff. Now since we are dealing with roleplay in a video game and we want to ensure there is a balance between each role so that the game doesn't turn out to be a total chaos, we have implemented a few rules and executable commands to ensure that nothing gets out of hand. Fear roleplay is the concept of being scared for your life! Let's admit it, we don't have a respawn button in real life because if we did, we would still have Hitler! So make sure that when you are roleplaying, always fear for your life and what you have, I'm sure you don't want to lose precious items in the game especially after working hard to earn them, so if ever a mugger or kidnapper comes along and tries to mug or abduct you, make sure that you are 100% positively able to defend yourself in the process, if not, then just give up and let them take you because you have a better chance surviving when complying with their demands than trying to defend yourself and end up being shot in the head (ouch!) and losing all those items you have on you. Remember, once you die, you can't avenge your death because it's a new life and if you do, I don't think you want to get banned. Anyway, moving forward... Hardcore Roleplay, (yey!) Hardcore Roleplay is mainly the concept of actually roleplaying seriously, no fooling around and trolling or harassing people but actually taking the game seriously. Serious hardcore roleplay is very fun and addicting, but don't go way too far because we don't want to ban you for disrespecting someone that doesn't take it as seriously as you do. Just remember that justice will always be served as long as there is evidence to back it up! That's about it for the concepts, now let us go to the actual rules.

General rules(Bannable):

    • Do not disrespect players and staff members.
    • Do not cause unwanted or unnecessary drama on the servers.
    • Do not lie to staff to avoid an increased time in your ban.

If you cannot speak English, we highly advise you to look for a local server in your area for more enjoyable roleplay experience.

Assistive Rules

Additional important rules:

  • Popping or shooting vehicle tires are not allowed for no reason. Only police officers may shoot vehicle tires during a police chase/arrest. If anyone else caught popping tires, they will be banned accordingly.
  • Destroying vehicles for no reason is not allowed. Staff members will go around clearing unwanted vehicles around the map. If you own a vehicle and wish to destroy it, make sure you do it in an area away from bases and other structures or crowded areas to avoid players getting injured or killed during the incident. If caught going against this, you will be banned.
  • You are not allowed to carjack anyone vehicle but your own unless your assistance is needed. If caught breaking this rule, you will be banned.
  • You can claim areas of the map and charge players a fee to pass. Everyone is free to pass anywhere as long as it is not your base.
  • Players are limited to a certain amount of buildables and items that can be placed on the map. This includes plates, lockers, and campfires to avoid clutter all over the map. If you are caught placing an item on a random spot on the map that is not your base, you will be banned. Only police officers are allowed to place signs on the road for speed limits.
  • Creating a KOS zone is a bannable offense.
  • You can not enclose an island, town, admin spawn points and player spawns points with structures. If caught doing so, you will be banned.

  • Mega bases or huge building are not allowed because this may cause FPS drop to other players or can lag the server as a whole and is a bannable offense. Not everyone has an expensive computer.
  • Friendly sentry guns are not allowed to be placed in random areas of the map. You may only place it in your base. Make sure that the sentry gun is not facing a window or door. If you have a sentry gun in your base, you are required to place a metal sign outside that there is a sentry gun in your base to warn other players to not equip a weapon when entering. If a staff member checks your base and see's that you have not complied with this rule, your sentry gun will be destroyed. We will not compensate you for your destroyed sentry. If caught placing a sentry to purposely face a window or door, you will be banned.
  • You may only place a claim flag within the corners and center of your base. If caught placing a claim flag around the map, you will be banned accordingly.

KoS:

  • KoS is not tolerated and is a HIGHLY bannable offense!
  • Kos is allowed if the following incidents may occur:
    • If a player enters your vehicle you must follow the warning system (See warning system below) before you can KoS, if a player does not respond to your warnings, you may then KoS this player. This rule is also applied if a player uses a stealy wheely to unlock your vehicle and enters it or if they are stealing gas from your vehicle.
    • If a player enters your vehicle and instantly starts driving away, no warnings are needed, you can KOS them instantly BUT make sure you take at least 2-3 print screen evidence showing this player is driving away, this may take you 3 seconds to do when hitting F12. Screenshots help prove that this player is driving off as evidence to avoid getting yourself banned during a Moderator situation
    • If you have been shot by someone that has not initiated any sort of RP event (robbery, kidnapping, arresting etc.), You may shoot this player in self-defence. If you have been falsely KoS'd, do not kill that person for revenge but call a staff member using the admin assistance command (see below) and report to them that you have been falsely KoS'd and they will be happy to return every piece of loot you may have lost.
    • You may not KOS anyone stealing or harming others. If you do not abide by this rule, you will be banned.
    • You may not revenge KOS whether it may be that this player has killed you during an RP event or by accident or simply just because this player wants to kill you! IF you were killed during a robbery, raid or arrest, you cannot revenge kos them whatsoever. Failure to follow this rule will result in a ban depending on the severity of your actions.
    • If a player trespasses and enters your base, garage or any structure that you have built, you may ask this player to leave using the warning system (see warning system below), after providing the appropriate warnings needed only then you are allowed to KOS this person.
    • You may only self-defend if you were shot at for no reason whatsoever. After you successfully kill the person who shot you first, make sure to let a staff member know that it was an act of self-defence. Do not lie to staff, we have damage logs.

Warning System

  • The majority of our commands require the use of the warning system after it has been taken into effect. No matter what role you are or as long as the command you are using is to eventually kill someone, in the end, you MUST always provide the 3 warnings before you proceed to execute that person.
    • Always remember that:
      • Warnings must be clear on what you want your victim(s) to do in order to help them understand and comply to the situation more effectively.
      • There must be a 5-second interval between each warning and after the final warning. If a player still does not comply, only then you are allowed to kill them.
      • If a player fails to follow the warning system they are subjected to be banned accordingly depending on the severity of their actions. A minor offense will be left as a warning and a major offense can lead to a maximum of 3 days ban.
    • Roles that are highly required to follow the warning system after initiating a command but do not require to add the player's name in warnings:
      • Outlaws
      • Kidnappers
      • Godfathers
      • Troopers & Higher Police Ranks
      • Spec-Ops
    • Situations that are highly required to follow the warning system and must add a player(target's) name in each warning:
      • When requesting/demanding a player to leave your base or shop.
      • When requesting/demanding a player to exit your vehicle.
  • The following are examples of certain situations that require the warning system but do not need to add a player's name:

[World] Meatball[Chief of Police]: /Arrest Rain Illegal Drugs

[World]Server: Meatball[Chief of Police] has issued an arrest warrant on Rain due to Illegal Drugs!!!

[World] Meatball[Chief of Police]: Warning 1! Hands up & drop all weapons and backpack! Comply or you will be shot!

(There is no need to add the player's name because the server has announced who is under arrest prior to the warning given out by the Chief of Police due to the command he has initiated.)

  • The following are examples of certain situations that require a players name in the warning system:

[World]Anomoly<3[Governor]: TrueThat warning 1! Exit my vehicle or you will be shot!

(There is a need to add the player's name because there are no commands that can warn a player to exit your vehicle)

Robbing:

  • Godfathers and Outlaws are the only roles that can initiate the /rob command.
  • You may rob a person for items and Gold [in-game currency]
  • If you mug a player for items, you CANNOT mug them for Gold.
  • If you mug a player for the Gold, you CANNOT mug them for items.
  • The maximum amount of money that can be demanded per mug is 500 Gold.
  • If mugging a player for items, you may request your victim to drop everything.

  • After mugging a player, Godfathers have a 45-minute cooldown before they can mug their next victim.
  • You must be face-to-face with your victim before you can initiate the Mug command. If you initiate the command 30 ft. away from your victim, you will be banned.
  • If you mug a player whilst in a group of outlaws, all muggers must be face to face with their victim. Sniping from hills or from a distance is not allowed!
  • After you mug a player, make sure to use the mug over command to avoid from being killed.
  • Only Police, Higher Police ranks, Spec-ops and Bandit's victim can kill the Bandit. Anyone else that kills the mugger will be banned. Police do not need to initiate a command to kill a mugger whilst in a mug event.

Arrest:

Anyone can be arrested going against the law. Since we are using the washington state map as our official roleplay server, we will be using the WASHINGTON STATE LAW as an arrest guide. Remember, your best friend is Google.

For more assistance, this link will help you a lot.
http://statelaws.findlaw.com/washington-law.html

The link above will help you understand what criminal actions are arrestable and what is to be given out with a warning or a fine. YES! Our server will be implementing fines and bails, fines and bails will be used to finance our troopers! Yes, officers will be paid BUT you need to be an active Trooper to receive an allowance.

Arrest Guides:

  • Do not arrest someone for more than 30 minutes. All arrest must be under 30 minutes.
  • Minor incidents should be between 5 minutes to 15 minutes.
  • Major incidents like murder and robberies should last 15 minutes to 30 minutes.
  • Remember all arrests should depend on the severity of their actions.
  • All police officers MUST wear a complete uniform with a baton and Colt/Cobra.
  • All military, Ranger and etc grade weapons should be hidden in their inventory and CANNOT be exposed unless a major criminal situation is going on.
  • Make sure civilians are not running on the server with their weapons out! Give them 3 warning to hide their weapon, make sure to follow the warning system. If the player still doesn't comply after 3 warning, he is arrestable. Again follow the warning system and if the player still doesn't comply with your arrest, then you may kill this player.
  • Any troopers caught breaking any rule will be stripped of their rank and can no longer play as a trooper.

These are just a few rules to follow, we will be releasing a more broad explanation of arresting rules. But for now, we will use this as a rule/guide.

Raids:

  • Only Godfathers and Chief of Police may initiate the /raid command.
  • After a Godfather has called his raid over, there will be a 60-minute cooldown before he can initiate the next raid.
  • Chief of Police may only initiate a police raid if there is screenshot evidence that the base or building they are raiding has illegal items or drugs in it.
  • Troopers (Police) and other police ranks including spec-ops, medics. Bodyguards and mercenaries may only assist a Chief of Police raid by executing the raid assist command (see Commands list below).
  • Outlaws, Medics, Bodyguards, and mercenaries may only assist a Godfather's Raid.
  • If any other roles assist a raid that is not named above will be banned for fail roleplay.
  • Always remember to call your raid over. Both those who initiated and assisted the raid must use the raid over command.
  • Godfathers must wait 2 days before they can call a raid on a base he has previously raided (as per location and owner). If the owner of the base has relocated to a different location, only then the godfather may call a raid and avoid this rule. If caught going against this rule, you will be banned for fail RP.
  • In order to raid a base, you must make sure that you include the base location and description whilst executing the command. The owner's name is not required in the command.
  • Anything that is made of buildables and is closed off from the public is considered a base. Whether it may be empty or not is on you whether you want to call it. Raiding an empty base does not exclude you from waiting for the cooldown period to end.
  • There is a 5-minute raid preparation before the raid will start. The server will announce "Player is preparing for a raid on a metal/pine/maple/birch base north of Alberton or location". After the announcement has been posted in chat, all raiders have a 5 minute preparation time, once 5 minutes are up the server will then announce initial raiders raid has started(Player and assistants raid has now started!).
  • Once a raider's raid has started, the 50-meter radius around the base is considered a raid zone, make sure to be at the base when calling the raid to avoid being banned. Everyone within the 50 meters is KoS-able whether they are part of the raid or not. Once you see a server announcement in world chat indicating someone is raiding, make sure to run away in case you are near the location.
  • If you are a raider or a raid assistant, you must call your raid over when you die. Failing to call your raid over after being killed is a bannable offense. You cannot go back to the raid location after being killed, failure to follow this rule is considered Fail Roleplay and is a bannable offense.
  • Once a base has been completely raided, the Raiders have the ability to claim this base as long as whoever claiming it was a criminal role that participated in the raid and does not own any other base on the map. If you claim a base whilst having an existing base elsewhere on the map, you will be banned for FAIL RP. Players may only have 1 base on the map. If no one claims the base, the owner may claim his base back.
  • In order to claim a base yours, you must use the claim command to do this within 1 minute after every raid participant has called their raid over. Make sure that everyone has called their raid over. If you have died during the raid, you cannot claim the raided base!
  • Police officers and any other government roles that defend a raid cannot claim a base but can return to the raid even after death as long as the raid is still active.
  • Police officers that are engaged in a police raid may kill anyone within the base if they do not exit the base and surrender after the police raid has been initiated.
  • Police officers may gather and confiscate any weapons collected during a police raid and use them to help supply their headquarters and staff needs. They must have a weaponry room in their headquarters to store confiscated items. These items will be in custody of the Chief of Police, he is in-charge of keeping count on how many weapons they collect. This includes illegal items. Berries, on the other hand, must be trashed by using the trash command (see a list of commands below).

Kidnapping:

  • Kidnappers and Godfathers are the only roles that may initiate the /kidnap command (located at command list below).
  • If a kidnapper wants to assist someone else's kidnap, they must use the kidnap assist command. Godfathers cannot assist a kidnap, they can only initiate a kidnap.
  • Bodyguards and Mercenaries cannot be hired to assist in kidnaps.
  • Before announcing your kidnap, make sure that you are face-to-face with your victim. Same goes for those who assist. Failure to follow this rule will result in a ban.
  • After initiating a kidnap, the main kidnapper must give out 3 warnings (please read warning system located above). Failure to do so will result in a ban.
  • After a kidnapper has successfully held his victim hostage, he must bring this hostage into a small 4x4 quarters, anything larger is not allowed and can be forced destroyed and recompensated by an admin or staff member. It is up to the kidnappers on what material they want to use for their quarters whether it may be metal, wood, or brick.
  • Kidnappers are only allowed to take victim's ranged weapons and melee weapons or any items that may inflict harm and damage upon them. Any food, medical supplies and backpack or items that do not inflict damage MUST be returned to the hostage.
  • Kidnappers do not need to feed their hostages, this increases the urge for police to respond to the hostage taking or for someone to pay bail for hostages release.
  • Kidnappers can hold a hostage up to 45 minutes. After the 45 minutes are up, the hostage may make a decision whether to kill their hostage or set them free.
  • All police that will respond to the hostage taking must use the rescue command (see command list below). If a police officer dies during a rescue, he may come back to the scene but cannot use the TPA command, he must walk or drive back and must call the rescue command again.
  • Anyone who is near or within the hostage rescue zone is kos-able by cops and kidnappers alike. If you are caught in a crossfire, there is no one else to blame but yourself. You cannot demand loot compensation if caught in this event.
  • A kidnapper is allowed to kill its hostage if the hostage attempts to escape by running away.
  • Kidnappers can work with mercenaries and godfathers to plan the perfect crime.
  • The maximum amount of ransom a kidnapper is allowed to place on its victim is 2500 Gold. The maximum amount of ransom a kidnapper is allowed to place on Governor and Chief of Police if kidnapped is 7500 Gold.
  • Hostages may pay their own ransom only if 40 minutes have passed and no one has rescued the victim or paid the ransom.
  • There is a cooldown after calling a kidnap over (please look at commands list below). A cooldown for a kidnapper is 30 minutes before they can kidnap their next hostage. A cooldown for Godfathers is 45 minutes before they can kidnap their next hostage.
  • A godfather may pay a bodyguard to guard his hostage so the hostage cannot escape. A bodyguard cannot assist in abduction but can guard once the hostage is in a Godfathers custody. A bodyguard cannot guard a normal kidnapper's hostage.

Hits:

  • Only Mercenaries and Godfathers may collect hits from the death list by using the death list command to check the list (please check commands list below).
  • To place a player on the death list they must use the hitlist amount command (check the command list below).
  • Once a player has been listed on the death list, a server announcement will show that a player has been added to the hitlist. There will then be a 10-minute preparation period for both victim and mercenaries/Godfathers. During the preparation period, the victim is given time to hide from its killer and it gives all online godfathers and mercenaries the ability to search for the victim. Once preparation period is up, the server will then announce that a player name's hit is now collectible! The player's name will be kept on a list for a total of 24 in-game hours. After a total of 24 hours on the server is up, the victim's name will be instantly removed from the death list and all funds paid will instantly go to the server as a charge for keeping the player's name on the list.
  • To see all current hits, everyone can use the check hitlist command (check commands list below).
  • If a mercenary or godfather has successfully claimed a hit, they will receive a total of 90% of the hit amount placed. If a player has put a 2000 Gold hit on someone, the hired killer will receive 1800 Gold.
  • The victim has the ability to kill either a mercenary or a godfather to remove their name from the death list or to pay off the hit by using the pay hit command.
  • If a victim kills a godfather or mercenary, the victim is rewarded 30% of the bounty placed. So if someone has placed a 2000 Gold  hit, the victim will receive 600 Gold.
  • If a mercenary or a godfather attempts to claim a hit during the preparation period, it will be counted as kos and is a bannable offense.
  • If a victim kills a mercenary or godfather during the preparation period, it will be considered kos and is a bannable offense.
  • Both victims and mercenaries/Godfather may hire a bodyguard to protect them but cannot ask a bodyguard to collect a hit.

RP Staff Rules:

  • You must be off duty when not dealing with a Mod Sit.
  • Staff members are not above the rules. They must enforce all RP rules unbiased at all times. If caught doing do, you are entitled to a trial and will be decided whether you will receive an instant demotion or a second chance!
  • You cannot use mod powers to your advantage whether it may be a role play situation or to just have fun, if caught you will be instantly demoted.
  • All staff members on duty are considered out of character and cannot engage in any roleplay event whatsoever. Staff members are not allowed to stand AFK anywhere on the map AFK for more than 20 minutes. You will be kicked. If this becomes a habit, you will be stripped of your staff rank.
  • If a mod situation results to a dispute with no solid evidence to prove who is at fault, the moderator is obligated to return each parties items and ask them to continue on roleplaying. If both parties cause another issue, both parties will be banned.
  • As a moderator, you must grab every detail of both parties during the investigation. IF someone is at fault you are OBLIGATED to explain to the player why they are being banned and to let the know the time frame of the ban and ask them to read the roleplay rules again. After this, you may proceed to ban the player at fault and if the player has more complaints you may tell them to make a report or ban appeal on our forums to avoid drama and excessive arguments on the server.
